Default "Corner Assist" light staying on when activated

Wonder if anyone's got any ideas on this. Both my Veccy's have the corner assist traction control fitted as standard (neither have ESP). On my '54 SRi it appears to function perfectly, throw it round a hard corner and the light kicks on and off as the traction control does it's thing.

My '03 SXi however (which I've only had a few weeks now) when I throw that hard round a corner, the light comes on for the traction control as normal but then doesn't go off again until I turn the ignition off. Soon as I turn off the ignition and start it again, everything's fine again until the next time I trigger the traction control at which point it stays on again.

Obviously I know something's foobarred on it, but wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as to what please.

I thought "corner assist" was ESP (Electronic Stability Control) or am I mistaken?
Don,t know why the light should stay on though.

Not according to the dealer I bought my SRi from. I bought that brand new and the "Corner Assist" was standard pretty much accross the range, but the ESP was an optional extra which I didn't bother having fitted due to the extra cost and having too many options already being fitted to it that where costing me a fortune as it was

Yep you are correct. Here is what it say,s in the 2004 catalouge.
    Corner Brake Control (CBC)
Makes the car easier to control in extreme situations, especially when braking sharply on a bend. Particularly effective when carrying out an emergency manoeuvers.
    Electronic Stability Control (ESP)
Senses when the vehicle is about to slide on a bend and applies braking on up to three wheels, correcting the slide and helping to regain control more rapidly.

Well, I went to the dealers yesterday and even with my friend from the parts counter pleading my case to the service manager for me, they still wouldn't do it unless I paid £35 for them to read the codes. ******ed if I'm paying that much for someone to plug a bit of kit in and read an LCD screen for a few seconds. I have a guy I know just down the road who's got a Vauxhall fault code reader which he said I could use if I ever needed to so just got to wait until he's around I guess.

In the defence of the dealer service manager, he did try and be helpful and suggested I checked all the wiring on the ABS sensors and that the sensors themselves where clean. Which would make sense as the systems are interlinked and both work off the speeds of the wheels. So I guess at the weekend it's up on the jacks to check those out.

If anyone else has any ideas, I'm open to other suggestions

Having not had the chance to check out the sensors on this, it seems to have just miraculously cured itself.

Have thrown it as hard as I dare round all sorts of corners/empty roundabouts and the traction control seems to be doing exactly what it's supposed to do now and the light goes off perfectly every time. I actually haven't been able to make it do what it was doing previously (touch wood).
