    Default Hayfever Remedies???

Im hoping its not just me with this disease, sorry allergy, yes the dreaded hayfever.

Its got a stage this year when I have had enough (again). Cant breath, cant sleep, cant see....WTF!!!

Has anyone got any decent remedies, other than the usual off the shef 5h1te.

I am using Cetrizine at the moment, along with Hayfever Eye Drops from Boots (total waste of £6.00)! I am also using vaseline just under my nostrils (apparently it stops pollen going up your nose....well lets just say "DOES IT FOOOK")!!!

So anyone, any natural remediesm or things to avoid/do that make it worse/better. And yes, I do stay away from trees and grass!

I've had a lot of success with stuff called "Nazaleze" ( I think) -it's a fine powder you puff up your nostrils. It does a similar job to vaseline around teh snout, but inside, IYSWIM.
Don't get it mixed up with your eyedrops though!

I am the same as you so i take a normal asda non drowsey tablet every morning and my friend who is a pharmacist recommended years ago to use Beconase Aqueous Nasal Spray.

The spray works a treat but feels a bit harsh on you first attempt, this forms a barrier over the area that is prone to pollen etc.

I was given Cetrizine to use once a day, it did actually work, but over the last week, I feel that I now have the need to take 2 a day (OD)!!!

I must admit, it stops the sneezing, but it doesnt stop that feeling you get that you are going to sneeze. I also use olbas oil drops inside my pillow at night to try to clear my airwave, works for a bit until you turn over and lie on it, blocking all the smell! I just cant seem to stop the running nose and itcy eyes.....have tried everything under he sun over the past years but nothing sorts it.

I also use Nasonex nasal spray, apparently it has two uses, one for this and one for my permanently blocked sinus!

I even tried a google search this morning for natural remedies, and the top hit was a £79.99 nasal machine (talk about sticking a knife in it)!

I am deffo going to try the cold wet cotton wool at night, I wash my eyes and face about 10 times a day with cold water, but that sounds like it could help.

using the light thingy+citrizine and this is the best i've been in 20+ years....... even had people asking.... 'whats happenerd to your hayfever this year'

not saying its a total cure but its made it bareble this year and at the price i'd totally recommend giving it a go
