last night whilst driving my engine fault light came on there was nothing wrong with the car untill i switched it off and the whole engine vibarated as if all the engine mountings had gone after stopping and stating it the light in the clock went off and everything went back to normal!

If it was a petrol engine I'd say it was pre ignition or detonation causing 'run on', but I don't know if a diesel engine with electronically metred fuel delivery can do that!?!

all i can add, is thats it's really important to get the engine codes read ASAP.. it has a fault, and the only way to be 100% sure is to get those codes read
