Default "Advice please" Difference in shocks between models

I will be changing my springs to a set of Eibach pro kit ones, and i have been given a full set of SRI shockers..
My question is that my car is a design model so would fitting the SRI shockers make any difference, are they any stiffer or just keep my original ones with the new springs?

Can never remember.... I think the Vec Design dosn't already have the uprated dampers, so as long as they've come off an SRi with the same bodyshape and engine size, you'll be fine

The Vectra Design has the normal (non-SRi) suspension. Only the SRi (with respect to the facelift) was fitted with the sports suspension as standard (unless the car was factory specced with 18/19" wheels in which case it would have sports suspension.

So if yours came with 17" wheels as standard then you'll have normal suspension so the SRi dampers will be worth fitting.

Thinking on the lines of the weight they were from a 1.9d SRI so not sure now..as mines a 1.8 petrol which shows as 100kg lighter in the technical data part of the book
Checked the labels on mine to compare and they say the same on the fronts but odviously the inserts would be different
