    Question Eibach Sportline Springs

Just wondered....most, if not all members on here who have Eibach springs have the Pro-kit, which is a -35mm drop. Has anyone ever used or know anything about the other set of springs they make, the Sportline?

    linky

Claims to be up to -50mm drop with 'race-car like' handling... Is -50mm OK on a Vec c? Would you get wheel rubbing or anything? And who else thinks that 'race-car like' handling actually means you can feel every piece of gravel and twig you drive over?

Edit: While I think about it, has anyone tried Eibach's own dampers? link

I think I would be a bit twitchy of fitting -50mm springs, remember the plethora of speed bumps in the U.K. I am even wondering if -35mm would be a problem on an SRI.
As for Eibach shocks, I had springs and shocks fitted on a Passat estate and was well impressed with them, however, there were 2 speed bumps which I had to be very carefull going over, and that was with a -35mm drop.

Has anyone dropped an SRI estate by 35mm, and if so any problems negotitaing traffic calming measures??

-35mm is relative to standard. The SRi is -15mm anyway IIRC so fitting Eibach springs only lowers it another half an inch or so but the springs are noticeably better.

Many, many members have fitted -35mm (or lower) with no problems at all - I think Carl Bear and BigMan have -60mm on coilovers.

yep, bigman ( ben) is right down at -60 odd mm.... and his car rides fine..it's VERY hard but it handles beautifully...he can really throw it into a roundabout....

Mine is running -75mm lower after some modifications when we fitted them, and we still have a further trick for another 15mm, but it borders on dangerous so we'll leave that for a rainy day!!

As Mark say, it is very hard riding, and for day to day use its a right pain in the Ariston, but then when your in the land of 1000 roundabouts that is Milton Keynes, and you can surprise the Saxo's and 106's of this world when it comes to cornering,, it makes it all worthwhile. Bear in mind though mine rides on 18's, not 19's, as i am told they make a substantial difference to cornering ability.

I would bother with anyhting other than Coil Over's now, as much as i whinge about them, they look the dogs kahoona's, you can raise them for practicality if you are so inclined, and the handling is awesome.

    Go buy some!!!

From what I can see Eibach do not do the sportline for the Vectra C, if they had I would have got them.
