    Default Courtney panel filter

Fitted the New Panel filter "20 quid at PVS" and done the air box mod today. I read the How2 http://forum.vectra-c.com/showthread.php?t=15122 and thought i don't need to hoover the box out as the old filter was only fitted about 2 month ago and will be clean. Well What a load of cr@p i found in the bottom of the box when i removed the old filter, so i had to get the hoover out.

Need to get the car out for a decent run now to see how much diffence there is.

Sometimes its easier to pop the bottom half out and give it a good shaking instead.

I got every little bit of crap out with the hoover mate. It's like brand new now.

Would that be the foam filter? They aren't very good I'm afraid, better than a paper one in terms of flow but no where near as good as the cotton ones (I've tried them all).

Can anyone tell me the best way to clean the Courtney filter. I know there is a kit for the K&N but the oil came with the Courtney. Is it just a quick wash?

From what im aware, the Courtney one is a re branded Pipercross, and all you did with them was a quick wash in warm soapy water, dry off and a light spray with the oil. HTH

That's great, cheers. Just fired the old filter in b4 first service tomorrow - will see if I take out a nice new clean when replacing with the Courtney again! Thanks
