    Default boost gauge

    hi every one i have a 2.0t 2003 signum i fitted a faze boost gauge about 3 mouths a go i thought it was ok till my m8 said its not holding vac when am off the gas i thought it was normal not to read any thing when off the gas when i pull a way hard it reads boost when i come off the gas hard it reads vac the it will go bk to 0 psi is that right i have made a vid of it its not very good as i have only jusy done it hope some one can help

    Nah, something's definitely wrong there.

    Sat on idle the gauge should be giving a vac reading. As soon as you start to apply the throttle it'll then move into the boost range, when you lift of the throttle it'll then drop back into the vac range until you apply the throttle again. It shouldn't be dropping back to zero like it does. The only time it would read zero is if the engine is off, or if you are applying a bit of throttle i.e. you would be gradually accelerating.

    Where exactly have you tapped the boost gauge into?

    i will have to have a look when the miss's gets bk but i think its off the dump feed

    I can't quite make out where you've got that as it's so dark, but I think you've got it kinda in the right place but possibly on the wrong side of the solenoid, hence why it's snapping back to zero all the time.

    Here's where I tapped off.....

    you wont get any positive boost sitting stationary revving it as there isnt any load on the engine.
