    Default Vaux Service Intervals

This moth goes from bad to worse!!

    Need some advice here guys!

As some may know I had my bumper stolen off my Astra Coupe Turbo.

Got the car back last Friday.

Yesterday my wife phoned to say the car was showing low oil level.
She topped it up, but when she moved it loads of oil was underneath it.

Called the AA who said the Genuine Vaux oil filter had a crack in it.
Car was towed to Vaux dealer.

Now it turns out that the car had missed its 1 year service, but I bought it when it was a year and two weeks old so assumed it had had its first service.

So vaux (different dealer form where it was bought) has told me that if i have it serviced they will claim for the leak through the warranty, if not i have to pay.

    £155 for the service.

Do I have a good chance of claiming for the service from the dealer I bought it from?

    Secondly,

just got a nod from my boss (company car) that a speeding fine has found it's way through (84 in a 70 from a Gatso)

now todays date is the 31st, the offence was the 13th (Friday - its all true)
does that mean that the NIP is invalid?

Please help cos despite the bumper comming back from the insurers with an irmscher front spoiler this month has been ****!!

The NIP has to be SENT within 14 days, not received.

I bought my car last week. and I specifically requested it be serviced as part of the deal. so when I picked it up the bok had not been stamped. the sales guy said bring it in and I'll stamp it. now had I got the sales guy to stamp it I'd not have known that it had not been serviced as I went to the service separtment and they checked on the comptuer first.

If I'm right SUJ has given you the VX customer service complaints line. I used it last year and played merry H*%% with them over the Mrs car. "I've bought VX's for years, valued customer" etc. etc. It worked, and they paid for an a/c/ heater matrix (roughly £400 all in) If you have a good moan, take the guy/ lasses name who you are talking to, it will hopefully work for you. It's well worth a moan - good luck !

If i'm wrong and it isn't the number - PM me and I'll get the number for you 2moz.

RHYS you're a jammy bu99er . I spoke to 3 different people regarding a Heater matrix replaced just outside of warranty. I got fobbed off major style

You might want to pass on some tips, all I can say is you must have the gift of the gab mate, Vauxhall are tight bu99ers.

I was sweating over having to pay the bill, so I complained like I never complained before !! I believe the way they work it is that if you are a regular customer, go to main stealers for your sevicing, then they do take a sympathetic view. In this case I would definately speak to the Salesman/ salesmanager or even the dealer principal and get them to cough up. But, that's only my opinion - it works for me over this part of the country !
