    Default Signum Elite Suspension Upgrade???

Hi guys hope you can help. I bought my Signum about a month ago now and love everything about it except the suspension. It's an Elite 3.0V6CDTi auto so it's very comfortable & nippy in a straight line but a bit too squishy around the bends for my liking. I think it would drive and look better with lower suspension. I've heard that a set of Eibach springs will sort it out for me but I have a couple of questions: 1) Eibach springs will lower it 30mm - is that too much? 2) Where do I get them fitted? 3) Will having them fitted affect my warranty? (it's an 07 plate so still got 2 years)

I'd recommend the Eibach's mate. Yes it lowers it 30mm. Looks much better and handles 100 times better. Firm's it up but not to hard a ride at all. I got mine from roadrunner motorsport. 140 quid delivered. Not sure were you are so not sure about getting them fitted.

Not sure on the warranty? i'm sure somebody will confirn this shortly.

Basically what Shan said, although I wouldn't just change the springs, I'd definitely change the dampers as well. I fitted the Irmscher suspension (which is basically Eibach springs and Bilstein dampers and it made a huuuge difference to my Signum Elite. I felt the same as you about my standard suspenion, nice on the motorway, but not very reassuring on the twistys.

    Answering your three questions...

    1) 30mm is what mine was lowered and it looks great but also isn't too firm a ride (IMO) - as it's personal preference.

    2) Either a competent garage or a dealer if you're not up to doing it yourself.

    3) If you get the Irmscher kit and get it fitted by a dealer, then if anything goes wrong the parts are covered by Irmschers two year guarantee and the labour to swap them over by the dealer will also be covered. If you get them fitted somewhere else, then the parts are still covered obviously but I don't think the labour would be if they needed to be replaced under warranty.

Dropped my Elite (1.9CDTi) by 30mm on Eibach springs and looks and handles much, much better. Agree with Duncan that shocks would provide a more complete package, but mine will get uprated when they need renewing. For now I can't fault the improvement in ride and looks. You'll also need the suspension re-aligned front and rear following fitment.
Here's an "after" shot of mine

ive had my 53 plate signum lowered using cobra sport springs mate 35 mm drop on the front and 25 mm drop on the rear and it sits just right imo, although id definately agree that to do the job right the dampers need changed too but i dont fly round corners tbh so not really an issue for me

Is the Camber able to be adjusted on Vectra's front & Rear then ??
I did not think there was any adjustment on the rears !! & that only the tracking could be adjusted on the front Unless of course the bolts in the front suspension legs are of the Cam type allowing for change ??

    Cheers

Thanks guys - like the piccys!!
What size rims are those? I only have stock 17" ones exactly like in Gsi3.2's picture. If I lower by 3cm will it look good or will I need to spend more money on new wheels too???
