Auto gearbox failure - YES on a '52 2.2 Petrol Auto.
    Apr 2007 - Gearbox re-built
July 2007 - New Control module and sensors.
Sept 2007 - Failure fixed with Bacofoil
Mar-June 2008 - Complete transmission failure. New box fitted.
Still not working after 3.1/2 months.
Car replaced on Network Q warranty.
Orig car will be the star witness in a court case (I think).
So what do I think of my VX dealer? Words fail me!!

    umm i dont want a mondeo .

the co car list has been reduced a little at the mo , so i would rather hang on to me vec , the garage was told about the thudding as i changed gear , they thought it was an engine mount and changed that along with a lower wishbone as they reckoned the car was unroadworthy !
I know slate the handling (which is in all honesty crap)
but the rest of the car is good ,
ive got new dampers on the back and its been behaving well (still torque steers like a pig at the disco) so i will infact be a bit hacked off if they say we arent going to fix it !

at least my 13 year old mk1 mx-5 hasnt put a foot wrong ,and im currently roughing it in a freelander 2 td4 hse with all the toys !!!!

Owning the vec has been an odd experience , i hate it most days but miss the ting when its not there , its like an old wingback chair , you hate it because its falling apart and looks a mess buts its so damn comfortable you darent part with it . and thats how i feel about my vectra .
