    Default Indicators not automatically cancelling

I have just bought a 53 plate Vectra-C 2.2i Elite. The indicators don't cancel after turning the wheel and I have to manually cancel by just touching the stalk.

There is another problem where cruise control isn't working. The book says I should see the symbol for it light up on the instrument panel when I start the engine, but I don't.

Although these two are operated on the same stalk I don't know if they are related or not.

    Suggestions?

It could be the stalk I guess, Not sure on the indicators, but the clutch pedal has a spring that is a common fault. Try lifting the clutch pedal and then turn on the CC. Remember you should need to have touched the brakes at least once before it will turn on.

Worst case could be the CIM.

The handbook is wrong. I've yet to see a Vectra-C cruise control light come on as a check light with the ignition.

It could also be the brake pedal. Although a new stalk isn't expensive.

It was the stalk. Had it replaced and now the indicators and cruise control operate as they should. Thread closed.
