Halford sell it. Personally I do this:

Was the car with Megs Gold Class using a Megs mitt (not a sponge. Causes swirling)

Dry the car with a Megs Water Magnet (Not a chamois for same reason as above)

Polish using Megs Stage 2 Polish

Wax with Megs Stage 3 Wax

All this is avaliable at Halfords. Everyone has differet preferences, but I personally find this stuff amazing. A really deep and long lasting shine if you do it right. i last polished an waxed my veccy over a month ago and it's been washed and dried about 6 times since and still beads beautifully after rain

This is a good start but, if you don't already do this, I recomend using two buckets - one for washing and one for rinsing - when you dunk the mitt into the rinsing bucket run your hand over the mitt to help remove any particles likely to cause stratches - you will be surprised how much grit you end up with in the bottom of the bucket after a wash.

Once you start getting good results, it can become a slippery slope to becoming obsessed with how clean and shiny you can get your car!

Yep. The two bucket method is essential also for the same swirling reasons. Good shout

Personally I found the stage 3 wax didn't last long at all. It was nice to apply and easy to remove leaving a good shine but lasted about 2 weeks on my motor. I've just bought some Collinite 915 which is all of the above but already seems to be lasting longer.

Is this any better than Autoglym polish?

IMO its as good, but it has no fillers like the AG stuff so there is no white dust

You get absolutely no white residue when you buff it up. It goes on and off a dream

    They work in different ways.

Autoglym super resin polish has abrasives in it so it will mechanically polish the paint. Megs stage 2 has no abrasives so it's a pure polish.

I have had good results from both in the past.

The three step system is a great way to get into using multiple products but if I was starting from scratch I'd not bother with the stage three wax and get another one instead.

Having said that AG does a good job of removing/filling light swirls.

In the end it comes down to personal preference/experience.

I did mine with Megs Stage 1, followed by Stage 2 Polish followed by Stage 3 Carnuba Wax ... took about 4 hours.

    Well pleased with the result.
