Outside Temperature Sensor

Hi

I'm new here so I'll firstly say hello to everyone!

Anyway the outside temperature sensor on my Vectra seems to have a problem i.e its constantly reading about 6 degrees higher than it should be. I've tried cleaning the sensor but no luck. Does anyone know the part number for the sensor and if its a tricky job to fit it

Hi Finty, welcome to the site.

I had similar trouble with the sensor in an astra after a service. Took it back and they re-callibrated it, worked fine after that.

Thanks Spikey.....it does sound like a calibration problem and coincidentally its just had a service....****** electricals always giving grief!

hi welcome to the site, has the warrenty run out on your car, they may put it right under the three year warrenty.

over here in opel land they only give a 2 year warranty so unfortunatley thats run out

Welcome Finty - The sensor is to be found behide the front bumber, simply unplugs - very easy to change. OPen the bonnet and look central down towards the bottom of the rad. The little black plug is the sensor. Hope you get sorted

excellent sounds easy to change...just need the part number now....could only find the Vectra B part number online
