The fall and rise of ParaPaul's splitter...

As many of you may have noticed on Sunday, there was a slight incident with my car on the way into PVS

in a nutshell, the marshal directed me AWAY from the correct roadway, and around the back of the stand. While following his directions, I drove the car straight into a huge ditch which destroyed the front splitter

so from this...

...to this....

...in the space of 2 seconds! I had considered replacing the splitter anyway, but this rather forced my hand! Anyway, thanks to a certain fella on here for helping me find a genuine irmscher splitter to replace it

and some sterling work by a local bodyshop, and I managed to have it fitted today.

I've contacted PVS via their website to complain about the idiot marshal who sent me the wrong way and, in my eyes, was the direct reason for the damage, and asked for some kind of compensation. As you can imagine, genuine Irmscher parts don't come cheap

Funnily enough, I've heard nothing back and its been 2 days now. May have to get on the phone to them...

Top day all in all though, shame I didn't get to speak to more people. Will try harder at Trax

Ouch i would have been really annoyed, shame about the bumper was quite nice looking, glad everything is all sorted now

Shame about the damage, hope you get some sort of compo. "Every cloud..." new one looks loads better.

have to agree, new one looks better, but not exactly the way to go about replacing it... hope you get somewhere with PVS.

Although not the way you'd planned it!, the Irmscher one does just sit better IMO.

Looking better Paul, after you incident there were a few worried about their splitters! Did you get the marshals name or witnesses. Mind you, most of them were worse than useless imo
