Default Nokia Car Kit / Sony Ericsson Adapter??

    Hey guys...

I have a Nokia Car Kit installed in my car (was already in there when I bought it), but I dont use a Nokia phone, I use a Sony Ericsson .

I dont want to cut it out or replace my phone for a Nokia, because I cannot stand them , so am hoping to try and find an adapter that will convert a Nokia Car kit to a Sony Ericsson one?

It already has one adapter in there as it was originally designed for the 6310i (???) but then used with the slightly smaller Nokia, I think its the 6230i? The adapter is a removable one, but this whole car kit is useless to me, and as its there, I would like to use it without changing my phone or ripping the car kit out.

I have scoured ebay and google'd it, but couldnt find such a thing.

Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction for an adapter/convertor in the cheapest possible way?

    TIA!!

    Bye bye Vec B

Easiest way would be to remove the hardwire Nokia kit and wire in a suitable kit for the Sony (either their own or a Parrot kit).

Sounds like you have the VDA lead behind the glovebox so it should be a very, very easy job to do - you may even be able to reuse the VDA plug from the lead that joins the Nokia kit to the car loom and join the appropriate wires to the new kit.

Im certain its not bluetooth, I will take a snap later and post. The reaosn I say this is becuase I put my brothers phone into the holder and it slotted right in and it worked perfect, that what makes me think its the wired jobbie. Will check!

Its sounds as if you have the old cradle Nokia kit, this does not have bluetooth so you will have to change the kit
