    Talking My new gsi

HI all well i am now the proud owner of an 03 gsi , my dream car it has some issues but will soon be sorted , picked it up last night i traded my 53 saab 95 2.2 tid for my new ice green vectra 3.2 gsi , what a difference i can tell you
It seems the veccy has a blow on the flexi pipe and the window switches are sticking , think they havent been used for a while , appears a wheel bearing is growling a bit and a tinny knocking underneath ,may be exhaust heatsheild , will have to investigate , if anyone has any idea where i should start looking please feel free to give advice as i am a newbie to all this and am looking to get it up to show condition , also i have noticed the standard boot liner has half missing ,so need a new one and the centre armrest has a broken hinge, but other than that the interior seems in very good condition , also on the computor it seems nuts , it tells me there is a bulb out when actually they are all working , but someone told me that if the bulb is going it tells you before hand that it has gone ? seems strange but who knows .
well i have rambled on enough now and probably bored you all senseless , but as you can imagine i am quite excited that i am now the owner of a vectrac c gsi
thanx for reading and hope to hear from some of you with some sugestions,(apart from dont go on when you post a thread lol)

Nice - the 3.2 is a cracking engine.

There was a post about using some contact cleaner on window switches recently on here - could be worth a search on that - I need to do the same as my passenger window switch won't wind up!

Also on the heat shield - the centre one is easy to see from the side of the car if it has come loose - mine did recently and I posted a pic on this thread: http://vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=47932

At the moment its held up with a couple of clips as the bolts sheared .

    to the site Steve, enjoy
The lamp out warning maybe a rear stop lamp gone, so the side light takes over the function so it appears the brake lights are working (Just check the rear lamps) HTH
