    Default steering warning lights

Hi all, got myself a 2ltr vectra dti on a 52 plate, steering warning light comes on when i put my foot down(especially round corners, more so accelarating up hill), the steering doesnt seem to fail, just wondered if anyone had any input??? Also, when i start it in the mornings, the spanner light(not the service light) comes on for 30 secs or so, can someone shed any light on this, many thanks

Spanner light....needs to go on a Tech2 if it comes on on every startup. Mine did the same, then after about 40 fresh starts the spanner light never came back, still took it to Vx to have it tested and it never showed anything so got lucky, but def get it tested!

On a 52 plate the fluid reservior will be on the rack down behind the engine, it's a white container with a black lid. The lid has a dip stick attached to it.

I think only the later cars have the gubbins behind the headlight

Think it's engine-specific. In my old '53' 1.8 it was behind the engine, in my current 2.0T it is underneath near the front driver's side headlight.
