This was my first outing to PVS, and on the club stand too. What can I say, I arrived at the camp site only to be guided down the slope onto the camping field by Mark GSI3.2 - top bloke There were already a fair few people there, tents up, final detailing going on as well as a bit of drinking!
DitchP soon sorted me out with a tent and also found a good replacement for the bit that was missing! - another top bloke So tent up, airbed in place I joined the rest of the formation team to help put up others tents as they arrived! I think all were pleased with the help offered by all and it shows the sort of club spirit that is here on Vectra-c.com!
The cooking and BBQ soon got under way
Watch out for Mark cooking
At least one person enjoyed tucking in! (my precious, come here my precious could be heard!)
Not too sure what Big Phil intended to power with this beast! But there were some funny noises coming from his tent after lights out
We were all surprised to discover that a F**d had joined in too, but Duncan soon forgave him when the PC'ing started!
We did seem to spread out a little in the corner of the field, but why not, it was massive!
Some did comment that the toilets left a little to be desired! Pink for the ladies and white for the men, unless it was dark and then only the ladies had any lights!
We left the site at 06:30, having to guide at least one car over the lumps and bumps as it left, possibly the lowest car we had on the site, to be honest I was suprised to see it get on the field at all!
Once we arrived at Santa Pod we joined the queue and waited to be let in, once in it was clear it was a good job we did not camp there, most of the camp sites were just mud bogs with a lot of evidence of silly driving from the night before. We then seemed to be guided to the VERY back of the site over a mud road that was slowly turning into a very slippery mess! However, once onto our pitch it was fairly dry and being at the back meant there was no through traffic so it stayed fairly clean. The tent erecting team soon got on the case too!
The task of fitting what you bought soon started, a bargin of a £10 cone filter was soon fitted to Lilangel's car with the aid of cable ties, double sided tape and the lid from a pringles tube!
She was really pleased with the sound and its more or less the same as the £90 K&N ones With the V6 Growl, who cares about a few BHP
Thats basically it, I had a really enjoyable PVS this year and I'm looking forward to the next one
Nice to meet you all again and look forward to next time Thanks to all
