Default Electric windows via Key fob

Any idea's on this little problem,. I used to be able to open/close my windows via the key fob on my Veccy, hold the open button on the fob and the windows would open, and like wise , hold the lock button down and the car will lock and shut the windows and then deadlock the car,

Well now I can still shut the windows and lock the car, but on both key fobs I can't open the windows via the key,

Has anyone had the same problem or any one know of a fix, when I 1st got the car it used to work, -- have I changed a settting or something ?

    Cheers in advance, mark

funny you should say that, mine has gone exactly the same way! Will close if held in but will not open the windows. Difference is though i've had programming work done to enable the folding mirrors, will try to dig into this problem at some point and see whats going on.

Funny you should say that, I spoke to someone today who say they had the same problem on a mini, the had to have it re-enabled on the ECU after having some folding mirrors fitted,

I twigged when he said that , I've had some ECU work so it could be a Tech2 jobbie ,

Let me know how you get on

My best guess is that feature has to be Teched2 again.

Is it a 57 plate or newer? If so, the opening of the windows no longer works. But you can close them with the key fob. I had this issue with VX when i bought mine - it's not an option on the newer models (57 and onwards) Have a look in the manual and if it's a newer model, there will be no option for opening the windows, only closing them

Edit, just read your email correctly now! It USED to work, but now doesn't...I say what your saying.

if it is a early car if the remote batt is slightly flatt the cim will sense it and not work the windows as to not flatten the remote battery totaly try a new remote batt unless its a 57 plate onwards
