Default **GSi on the rolling road today**

Paid a little visit to Clive Attowe this morning for a rolling road run. Its standard apart from KnN filter and airbox mod.

    My figures were:

    Maximum Power - Engine: 226.3bhp @6,507RPM
    Maximum Power - Wheels: 171.7bhp @5,978RPM
    Maximum torque: 226.5lbft @3,955RPM

He said it was running spot on which was my main reason for getting it done.
Apparently its also running rich at the top end probably to help keep the cat and stuff cool which you're giving it the beans. A remap would sort that out tho.

I can post the dyno's if anyone wanted to see them..

K&N panel filter or induction kit?

VX quote 208BHP for the engine...

but, as you have seen.. those figures are a bit conservative..

3.2's.. big power straight out of the tin.....

Thanks, the torque is right on the money though! I guess the airbox mod and panel filter really do help! I dont know whether to get an exhaust or a remap 1st. Im worried if I get the exhaust first that im gonna decrease the performance and not realised then get a remap and gain the power again but obv not as much as if I hadnt got the exhaust. Im thinking get a remap at MIJ, see how I go and then get an exhaust if i feel i need it...? Here are the pics:

    get the exhaust first....

the remap has to come 2nd.. if not it won't get any benefit from the exhaust..

rule is do all your mods first, THEN get it mapped...

and ONLY use TRUSTED mappers... No rolling road = unproven gains..

Ok exhaust it is, if it goes t*ts up i'll be after you mark
I've just pm'd MIJ asking when they can squeeze me in. If im happy with the exhaust (ill get a rolling road after that as well, maybe) then i'll prob head back to them for a remap. I cant seem to find anyone apart from them that will do the 3.2 and get good reviews as well.
