    Default VECTRA 2007 1.8 SRI Disapointed !!!

Have Had this vehicle for 2 months now. Can not get use to driving it,
there seems to be a delayed reaction with the accelerator and transmision, there is play in peddle before it moves throttle which makes the car jerky in 1st gear and 2nd gear. Have been told by vauxhall it is set ok and has no fault codes...
The car has only done 14,000 miles!!!
Dealer says its fly by wire throttle not cable.
HAS ANYONE GOT ANY IDEA WHAT THE PROBLEM IS!!!!!!!
    Thanks Ern

yep, no problem with the car at all.. it's just how they are programmed to operate..

the 1.8 VVT motor is a bit 'different' to drive than earlier cars but it's just something you have to get used to..personally i think it's a great little engine..

Yep the 1.8 vvti sucks big time. Its a very noisy engine end not very refined.I've had mine over a year now and i still hate it.The lagg between 1st and second is very bad and i really have to think about changing gear otherwise it jerks badly.

I'll be glad when i change it.

but i soon adjusted the way i drove the car, and it feels ok now !

Never had any probs with my non vvt 1.8 but then I had a K and N cone and a stainless still exhaust fitted which really helped. Maybe put in a K and N panel filter?

I struggled with mine at first but now drives fine.Air filter mod and k&n will help IMO,seems a lot smoother since i've done that.
