Looking at buying one around the £150 mark
Any suggestions and reasons why that over others?
Which Card SD, XD, Pro Stick etc

You can't go wrong with a Canon or a Fuji at that price point, and Sony are quite reasonable as well.
Most cameras nowadays use SD cards but a few use XD cards - no real problems with either but SD is easier to get support for in card readers, price wise both are cheap now.
The camera with rave reviews at the moment is a Panasonic TZ3 and TZ5. Have a search on line. £140 for the TZ3 and around £190 for the TZ5 (a few more pixels and HD recording)
(I'm getting one)
Ive been looking at The Fuji Finepix F50 fd, looks nice and compact and plenty of attributes about it
I have a little pentax 10 mega-pixel. It's a great little camera have a look at them they are reasonably priced.
i use and haved use the panasonic ones for years now.. excellent!!!!
pefect picture and excellent zoom! highly recomend... i have the TZ3 and a few older ones.. cant beat them mate..
i find a price online eg 7dayshop.com and haggle with jessops, curry;s etc if not i get it online... but sometimes the shops wont beat the price but they throw in a bag and holder etc... get the mem cards from 7dayshop.com atleast price them up against ebuyer.com
goodluck
I've got a Samsung L830 and it's pretty good and compact - it easily fits in your pocket. Got all the features i need and pics are great quality IMO. Bought it on offer for £80 Christmas just gone.
get the one with the better lens rather than the one with more pixels.
Then try to find a fast camera, the less shutter delay the better. There is nothing more annoying than missing a good shot because the camera is too slow...
i have just ordered a panasonic lumix tz5 right bit of kit, everything and more on
its the one off the TV ad, for an extra £40 worth the investment
so for £190 quality camera, see thread above from MLC
