    Default All at once.

Travelling home last night and at very low speeds (less than 10 mph) I get a screeching noise from rear off side wheel. Suspect either pads are low, sticky piston or binding handbrake cable. Which ever, me thinks brakes need stripping down and servicing. From my previous questions I now know the pistons wind back in but really stupid question is which way, clockwise or anti clockwise. Have scoured through threads and gathered as much info as poss including wind back tool from Halfords, just that I believe you can actually wind piston out of it's mounting if you go the wrong way!!!! Add to that the thumping noise has returned to the back end, just replaced two tyres and the exhaust looks as if it is finally going to give up( back box). Ho hum the pleasures of motoring.

it's just all fun isn't it..

The rear calipers wind clockwise..and just to add, if you buy the halfords tool, you'll still need to get an adaptor to fit the VX calipers..

VMT for quick reply. I'm dreading getting under the car just incase I find something else. In a manly sort of way it's comforting to know that there are people out there willing to help all at the touch of a few buttons. Big up the club.
