    Default WTF!!!

Driving to work yesterday I thought the gear knob was a bit loose and just gently lifted it whilst driving and it came of the stick.

After checking the inside of the knob, which is mounted by what looks like splines that line up with splines on the stick, but were worn enough that the knob was not a tight fit no more. So in order to do some thing very quickly for obvious reasons, I had to turn it around 180 degrees for it to fit again.

    Questions are:

    1. is this covered within the three year warranty?
    2. has any one else had this problem.
    3. Is it time to change over to an Irmscher version

Seriously guys I would be obliged for your feed back on this.

    1) would only be covered by VX's 1 year warranty.. fixtures and fittings/interior.. (3 years on mechanical)
    2) seems a few people have had them popping off!!
    3) Go for the irmscher version,,, you know it makes sense!!

I thought of doing some thing like that but was thinking that perhaps the gear knob might have to come back off for any reason/repairs etc. If not then I might just glue it back on.

Hi Dwabo, I thought that would be the case. VX crap again, when they can't even guarentee a gear stick knob lasting any longer than 12 ferking months
