    Default Big Brake Upgrade

I have just ordered the 314mm brakes from LMF. And have been calling around for a couple of quotes. So far best is £170 all in 2 - 2.5 hours to fit and bleed + £15 for the brake oil.

    Does this seem about right?

Also they are a straight swap right!?

That's not bad... I'd be suprised if they took that long though, it really is just a case of unbolt one lot and put the new ones on in their place...

As long as you have ordered the full kit i.e callipers pads and discs then they are a straight swap but it will take no more than an hour to do so £170 is waaaaaaaay of the mark i am afraid shop around a bit if you are coming at the weekend then i will fit them for you for the price of a can of coke !!!!!!

    Back in a V6 !!!!!!!!!!!! And lovin it !!!

I'm getting them done at a mate's garage, and he said he'd only charge £70 all in to a normal customer...

They should have gone on last weekend but time ran out.

Cheers lads, really appreciate the offers. Hoping they will turn up on Friday - not 100% though!

Could add some burgers and fries to the coke!

Is there a meet this weekend then?

A valid reason to turn up because you'd actually be saving money by coming!

Depends how far he has to travel to get there... At current fuel costs in a 2.0 Turbo, I'd say about 50 miles and he'll break even...
