Fuel Protests around Manchester

An email i just recieved here in Manchester.

On Thursday 5 June 2008 there will be a be a 'go slow' traffic protest in Manchester. The protest is scheduled to start at 8.00am from Birch Services on the M62 near Middleton. Disruption is expected to the M62 and M60 and roads into Manchester, with the organisers planning to enter Manchester via Salford Quays.

The extent of the disruption is hard to predict and the organisers are hoping to be joined by other motorists en route. Commuters are therefore being advised to allow extra time for their journey into work in the morning - particularly if travelling by car or bus.
