Right now, in the spring and early summer there is a lot of pollen flying around and most of it seem to head for allergic people and metro blue Vectras

I have a theory that the car's paint is electrostatically charged an thus attracts pollen and other small particles.

Just washed the car yesterday using turtle extreme nano-tech shampoo (waxed a few weeks ago with some cheap liquid wax) and today the paint is back to dull and yellow like.

Do you know of any product that makes pollen less prone to stick to the car?

I think the only thing that will make any difference is not parking near trees etc. I know if I leave my car on my driveway in the summer, it's covered in pollen and sap after a night.

Perhaps try going over the car after you have washed it with something like Meg,s Last Touch Detail Spray, that might help.

Is that one of those braided copper straps bolted underneath the car like on the scalextric race cars ? (http://www.scalextric.com/cars-3/opel-vectra-dtm-c2592/) How does that work when lightning strikes ?

Maybe i'll give the car a good polish to make the pollen slide off when i hit the brakes...
