Had my car booked in for cambelt and water pump today and was very lucky I did, when the car was running there has been a strange rattling noise and it turns out that was the water pump ready to explode and take my engine with it lol

Its on 58k, have been told now to ignore the 60k for a cambelt change and do it every 40k now.

If your water pump is driven by the cambelt then replace that too. They showed me the old pump and how it hadn't gone already I don't know but was lucky.

when it comes to the cambelt i never leave it more than 40k or more than 4 years. ( i dont cover many miles in a year )
