if i reset the ecu before the light comes on will it still come on when its due for a service???
if i reset the ecu before the light comes on will it still come on when its due for a service???
This is how I did mine
turning off, or resetting the service light is easy...
put the key in the ignition don't turn it yet thou..
press and hold in the reset on the mileage display,
hold down the brake pedal,
now, while doing all the above, turn the key till the ign lights come on, and keep holding them down..
after about 20 seconds the display in the speedo will reset itself, and the service light will disappear till the job needs doing again..

i dont think its had a service yet @2100 miles but i have reset the ecu for k&n but i am worried that its reset service light as it hasnt came on yet
According to the handbook "The service interval display takes account
of off-the-road periods during which the battery is disconnected"
That says to me their is an internal timer somewhere that keeps the service interval clock ticking.
The service indicator control is not volatile memory, ie even when battery disconnected it still works.
You car won't need a service for many miles yet if it's only done 2100 miles.
yep, all the same procedure..
