    Default sri alloys on gsi

My mate has a gsi with standard alloys but wants to put a set of sri ones on. He has been quoted £50 a rim from the dealer which sounds a good price.
Now in my opinion the sri ones look far better, but I can't understand why he would want to make his car look a lesser model. He can sell his rims on ebay, get his money back and just swap the tyres so he's not losing out.
So what do you guys think? In my opinion its a no no.

I have a GSi too and would agree that the SRi alloys look better than the ones fitted to the GSi . However, would I change the wheels just for that? No chance - but then I prefer to keep my car as standard as possible.

IMO if you're going to change you alloys 'GO BIG'. There's loads of aftermarket alloys about now for the Vec C.

Rushy, you obviously don't know how difficult the SRi wheels are to clean!!!
I should stick with the standard ones unless you decide to go along the bigger wheel path.

O yes I do mate, I have an sri and they drive me bonkers, clean them drive 5 miles and there dirty again. Tried everything, alloy protector about 10 different alloy brushes tha only answer I have got are better pads. I have tried to tell him this but he wont have it. I do think the gsi rims look great on signums though.

I would put on the SRi wheels, then people would say

"Why has that bloke put GSi and 3.2 badges on his SRi" Then he blows them away
