Fuel Poll: Time to Make a Stand?

So - we have had quite a few topics in the last few months about fuel - more to the point the rising cost of it....

Without having a rant - I am interested to see how far people will go with regards to fuel costs. Please could you all take time to look at the Poll and feel free to vote.

Now - I know members are paying a great deal more for their fuel accross the UK and I am not trying to create a personal war. But I am interested in how far members are prepared to be stretched in the current economy. I had it on good authority that within 2008 - the average price of normal diesel will possibly rise to £1.50 p/litre.

So with this in mind - when/ if this happens what will you choose to do?

I am currently working on a project that aims to make fuel from recycled Prime Ministers.

can't realy reduce my milage/useage of either car as both needed/used for work by myself and my wife

will just throw a stroip and moan again probably, but will join any protest...

either that or visit london and re-doo the guy fawk's thing

Only one way to cure this,as the oil companies are takin the pizz...we need to do likewise..by that i mean pick a certain day with lots of notice and on that day everyone and i mean everyone do not buy ant fuel at all...it can be done..and if they dont get the message repeat the damn agen and agen to show em we the great british public will not continue to have the pizz taken out of us. ok heres the first date suggestion.....14/06/08,its a satdy so less impact on us,but more impact on the gov and petrol comps as they sell more fuel on weekends..Anyone to second please post up and see how far we can get with it..

This is a good start guys - along the right lines.

What about if you said a weekend - rather than a single Saturday?

Also - get technical about it - when you do have to fill up - Veto the Big Boys - BP, Shell etc etc. Stick to Supermarkets.

The best way to spread the word - is by posting on other Forums and with admin's permission - send all members PM's with dates and details of the idea?

Anyone else got some thoughts?

We would need to get the message across by getting the media on board,a newspaper or something on the front page..headline reads"A NATIONAL DON'T BUY ANY FUEL DAY" just one day to start with,then escalate the action and take it from there,if it does'nt do anything at first at least it will make people think...Lets do it
