towing in wot gear!!!

ok boy's for those who tow a caravan wot gear you using at 60mph.
i find 6th a little too tall for this speed when you come to any kind of incline with cruise on i feel like im labouring the motor.

Pretty much the same here, at 60mph 6th gear will die away so its a case of changing down to 5th on an incline, also return about 34mpg or maybe a bit more if you go at about 68ish and keep it in 6th if you know what i mean .

Got a 2.2 petrol, always in 5th on motorways, which returns about 25mpg and never use my cruise control when towing.
