Default Karcher - what / where to buy?

I'm about to bid for one of a number of "grade A" Karcher pressure washers on e-bay. These appear to go for (including delivery) slightly more the half the price of one from a "regular" retailer.
Has anyone here any experience of buying one of these off e-bay?
Can anyone offer advice on what to get etc.?
Anything I need to watch our for?
Hoping this purchase will help clean those difficult corners on my SRi alloys!

I bought one from the guy, cracking deal, the thing was basically new but the box had been opened.
All the cable tidies and wrapping was still on it and he threw in a spare lance and some soap for nowt.
    Saved about £60 IIRC. Bought this one if it's any help;

I was in town the other day and spotted this.

Thought the price wasn't too bad. You get a free brush with it which isn't shown. Be good for wheels, maybe?

    Default Bought one.

Well I bought a Karcher 299 on e-bay from an outfit in Somerset – arrived yesterday – exactly as described.
    Can’t test it though……too cold!
The boss won’t let me out to play with it, in case I turn the entire driveway into an ice arena.
She thinks I’ve got it for cleaning the patio paving, but (as you all will have guessed) it’s actually for getting into those awkward corners on my Sri alloys!!!
It’d better warm-up before Sunday…… I daren’t turn up at the Ace Café with the car less than spotless!

PS I was £155 delivered for the Karcher, Flexi Lance and the extension Pole, if you want the details as to who to contact just ask, they are all grade A!

    My word, blr123, that's a posh one!!!
Still too cold tonight to try mine out!
Yours has so many psi - never mind the paint, you'll have to be careful not to dent the bodywork!!!

Let us know how you get on it. I vowed never to buy another pressure washer again after 3 in 3 years all going faulty on me but dirty wheel arches are beckoning !!

In the second picture the bit in the middle twists to regulate the pressure, towards the R/H side you'll see the some of the graduations...........so no worries about denting the paintwork eh

And I will let you know how it goes, if not before I'm doing a 3.2 DSG TT next Thursday or Friday weather permitting
