Default The Car I Drove Today

Hit the big 40 and as a treat the family paid for me to drive a make of car that I have always wanted to have a go in.

The F360 was an amazing car to drive and the sound was just amazing and with the flappy paddles made the driving so easy.

Bit dissappointed that they only used a third of the airfield straight at Elvington os York, and the they put a chicane in a short distance into the start of the straight. Still managed 110 and only just got it to the end of the third gear range.

Fantastic day with Driving Sensations .com. The instructors were spot on and allowed a lot whilst still staying safe. I had a passenger lap in a Lotus Elise and couldn't stop laughing all the way around, the speed and handling on the little car was amazing.

I looked into hiring a Lamborghini Gallardo .............
2 days for £800 + £5000 deposit + provide my own insurance + couldn't do more than 200 miles in it + only have it on a weekday!
1/ £800 I would pay this without question
2/ £5000 deposit, prepared to pay that but wouldn't tell the missus !
3/ Insurance..... Would i get insured ? Dunno the answer to that !
4/ 200 miles limit then £1 per mile there after. Why hire a car if you can't go anywhere without worry of clocking up the £££'s.
    5/ The cost of fuel in a 5.0L V10

Just imagine the fear of losing your £5k deposit if some shi7 took a key to it or worse !

Unless the 6 numbers come up tonight - I could never think of owning such a car. I had a total of 20 minutes driving the car today which was a matter of accelerate like crazy (smiling) then brake like crazy, then try to go round the corners as fast as I could (smiling). The smile is still there now - fantastic experience and recommend to all.

The biggest dilemma was did I pay £20 extra as an insurance waiver - or risk it - crash and then have to pay the first £1000 of the damage.

As I have just checked the numbers, then its another month of working for the mortgage and car payments. But hey ho - will never forget it.
