    Question Facelift Interior Trim ?

Can someone point out what the obv main differences are between an 04 and 06 SRI interior trim, inc the dash area ?
So far I gather the outer dash carcass and speedo are deffo diffo? but what about all the centre switchs and heater controls aswell as the seats etc?
Basically I have an 06 interior fire damaged SRI and need to know what parts are facelift only, and what parts I can use from an earlier car. (as early parts seem readily available)
I hope to clean the seats up but it may be I need to change those aswell

btw, are there any links on this site that detail the differences in the early and later cars, or detailed int pics.
Yep mine is very crispy around the dash so its hard to see what went where lol
    cheers

the door cards are different, as it the facelift dash carcass, speedo cluster, steering wheel and airbags, centre dash vents and screen, outer vents, dash insert trims etc etc...

to make it look authentic you'll need to be fitting facelift parts only..

carpets would swap over to prefacelifts no problems....

the consoles differ in that the prefacelifts have a cigarette lighter whereas the facelifts have a power socket there...apart from that you could prob 'blag' the change..seats would have to be in a late cloth, but you could prob get away with 05 SRi seats..

I know of someone who put a pre-facelift dash into a facelift SRI, the newer clocks fitted straight into the dash. At first glance, I couldnt tell the diff, but at closer inspection it did reveal that the dash wa sa pre-faclift. What he did was to use the facelift chrome vent adjusters and put the pre-facelift covers on them, looked quote good.

How bad is the fire in the car, if you cant source parts, you interested in selling? I have repaired a few Vectra-B interior fires....always on the prowl for a decent light damage Vectra-C, if ever there were one going. Even if not selling....do you have any images of extent of damage, may be able to poiint you in the right direction for parts!

Like you me present Vectra was an int loom/ fire dam car - but no way nr as bad as this new one.
That one was just the loom n odds n sods. Even so that was a full int strip out to get at all the loom that was burnt in various places
At the mo I dont want to sell this new car, but you never know - it might just be to much lol

On this car the fire looks to have started around the radio/ heater area as that section is just a big melted hole in the dash. Didnt look to bad untill I pulled the console out to reveal the extent of the damage.
Tis pretty bad under all the trims.
Still will try post a few pics up over the next few days or so.
