No experiance of those 2 but my sister and brother in law work for Tearfund and speak very highly of the 2 you mentioned. The work out in SA building teams to educate people in the townships to grow food etc.

Miss them loads and things have been difficult for them out there the past 3 weeks but I am so proud of what they do... I know they get paid but I wouldn't give up my easy life in the UK to go and help people in another country.

i only give to animal charities

very rare but if i was to give to a human charity then if would have to be a charity that gives to UK only and not to other countries.

    erm...

It's everyones own choice who they give to but I have been amazed in recent years how many people say the same thing.

I wonder if people would change their opinion if they went and saw the conditions UK aid agencies work in? Especially in regions like Dafur etc.

I photographed for a charitiy out there and in Africa and it was an eye opener to say the least.

Saying that could make you seem like a heartless beesting, but I actually agree with you.

We do seem to forget the sufferings of Africa, third world countries, child labour in China/India and how lucky we are to have chooses, so that we can provide a better life for our children and loved ones

I support Macmillan, which become one of my clients,RSCPA,Homeless Shelter and NSPCC....

Sad thing with Africa is it's a classic case of miss management, the land doesn't support the amount of ppl living there, it has extreme weather patterns, and those in charge are corrupt, and given the chance the starving bloke you see in the campaign ads would be no different, Bob Geldolf raised absolute millions 20 odd yrs ago, yet still it continues to be an issue, he went mad when food that was for the hungry was seized by the leaders and then offered for sale to the hungry, all the time African can afford guns Africa will never see a penny from me, and lets not forget the seizure of white ppl's farms that has been going on either, nope like It's been said there are plenty of kids here who need a leg up in the world, for me it starts at home.

If there was any real way to help it would be santitation plants to pull water out of the sea, and clear away the byproducts that cause the disease.

i don't directly support a chosen charity, but through the local rotary club ( yeah, i know) i do actively support many local charities and groups.... Mrs GSi and i are helping take 900+ disabled and disadvantaged children to whipsnade zoo in june... it's direct action, rather than money, which you can see change their lives, if even for one breif day...
