    confused Bottoming out??

Following on from other threads and the subject of new springs settling i` ve come to the conclusion my shockers are bottoming out. They re B4s and when i fitted them they looked slightly longer than the SRi shocks but i thought nothing of it but now the springs have settled if i hit a pot hole or bump at anything above about 20mph the bang is harsh to say the least. Is there a way of telling for sure if they are and whats the solution ( which shocks etc) ?

    Cheers

The B4 is designed as a direct replacement for the STANDARD dampers, the ones that are fitted to non-sports suspension. So yes, they are longer than the original SRi shocks but will doubtless work fine with the Vx -15mm drop.

To match shorter springs, like Eibach, PI, whatever you use to lower the car, ideally you need the B6 which is a shorter and stiffer damper. However, instead of £40 each they're about £130 each. I'm saving already...

    Expensive hobby, this modding malarky....
