to be honest I have never seen one second hand (that doesnt mean to say they arent about). Personally, and based on the advice of others on here....I would go for a custom remap. I am reliably informed that 130bhp is achieveable from the 2.0dti. A remap will cost more in the region of £270-£350 and apparenty does not put as much strain on the fuel pump.

Either way there is a risk involved though.

i belive a tunning box isn't that great for the 2ltr dtis as i puts to much strain on the pumps but you can get them remapped for about £400 and you only gain about 25bhp

As standard the 2.0DTi has 100bhp. That said, you do tend to lose on average 1 bhp per year as a rule of thumb.

But...thats not always the case. I had my 2004 2.0DTi on a rolling road recently and it came in at 107 bhp. I dont think 300 for a remap is worth it for me at the moment, not for an extra 20 bhp anyway. Much rather spend a bit of time in it and then buy a CDTi in a year or so.

Good choice, its a good car really. Do the airbox mod that will give it a bit of umph and its completely free (do a search on airbox mod).

    I spent my cash on:

    Dark headlamps
    SRI rear lights
    Irmy Grill
    Colour coded door handles
    Painted skirts
    Aluminium door pins
    Alloy wheels
    Leather steering wheel
    Chrome window sills

and a whole bunch of other bits, love the look of it now and thats important to me. Airbox mod gives it the responsiveness it needed.
