Default All dials to zero; ABS & battery lights on; engine runs fine...

    Hi all
Couple of times recently I've had all the speedo / RPM / Battery Charge dials drop to zero, whilst at the same time the Battery charge light + ABS + anti skid lights have all come on.

This has happened about 4 times in the last week; (twice on two journeys).
Both times roads were wet / raining, and both times I had the headlights on (although I've also driven in the wet with lights on and this hasn't happened...)

All this happens whilst driving; the engine continues with no problem though, and the headlights stay on.

Nothing shows in the computer display (ie no spanner), and if I stop the engine, it restarts with no problem and with everything back to normal again.

    Any ideas?

My first guess would be the CIM on the steering coloumn. If it is they are best part of £400 Hopefully someone else will be along in a min with some more suggestions
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

As above....first try with the ABS plug...no money involved...if problem persist that will be the CIM then.....money involved in that case.
