    Default Help..advice quick please..

    before i ring them back
Dropped my car off at the dealers this morn to check on a leak - which they have sorted (filter not tightened properly)
But they have also said that i need new front discs and pads + sensor, new rear suspension arms and a rear wheel bearing.

I've only had the car for about 6 weeks and i bought it from Stratstone with the standard 3 month warranty
Prior to picking the car up it was at the same dealer as above for a service and MOT.
My question is, should they have not picked up on these when it was there for the service/MOT and will my 3 month warranty cover this?

gonna ring them back soon, so was just after some advice please fellas

    Definitely.

If you've had the car 6 weeks, and it was sold to you as being roadworthy, then the blame lies squarely with them. Discs & pads should have been picked up during the service/MOT, suspension arms and wheel bearing will be covered under warranty.

    When was the serrvice/MOT done?

How many miles have you done since buying it?? If less than 5k i'd agrue with the garage who sold it to you and get them to pay, especially as you have 3 months warranty.........

Sure it states that wear items should be ok for a certain mileage on them, time to get tough with them m8.......

i take your point about, i've probs done around 1000 miles if i'm lucky.
i've rang the garage and they have said that if the wheel bearing needs replacing then they'll pay for that, but as for the other things, they shouldnt need doing because it has been serviced.

i would of thought that there is no way that they would have worn that much as to need replacing 6 to 7 weeks after being checked!

the garage is ringing me back in about 20 mins (hopefully), i'll post an update

right, sorry for the delay....had to do some work for a change

the garage are gonna do the wheel bearing, but as for the rest, the dealers are now saying that they don't need doing right away - just advising that they are a little worn and will need replacing in the not to distant future.
