Be extremely cheeky because there are hundreds about. They need the sale more than you need to buy that particular one.

    Remember there is always another.....

    just what john said....

Motorpoint have a nasty habit of giving very little off their cars...VX dealers on the other hand have to shift cars so you'd have more bargaining power there....

a VX dealer would defo knock £300 off...just say how much discount for cash as I dont have a px... as the prev post said just be cheeky, walk away if you dont get a good discount as its a buyers market, if you miss out on this one you will soon find another. good luck & let us know how you get on

Motorpoint won't knock anything off I'd expect - they're hugely discounted already, and there's always someone else willing to buy. It's called a supermarket for a reason...

Keep on looking though, always another one round the corner...

    Default Price of cars

I looked at a 07 plate 2.2 Sri about 5 weeks ago in a vauxhall garage in cupar (scotland), they wanted £9995 for it so i had a chat with the sales man and he said that the price did not include road tax .
So i said if they were to tax it for the year i would buy it , to which the salesman came out with the famous line that he had to phone his boss who was off sick . anyway we were sitting ther waiting to go for a drive in it when the salesman came up to me and said that his boss had said no way was he taxing it for a year , so i told him to ram it .
A week later i went to a honda garage to look at a 06 plate 2.2 elite in silver with 9700 miles on the clock for £9995 . This car was immaculate , they told me at the start that it didnt come with tax but after seeing i was keen on it they serviced it ,taxed it for 6 months and put a set of vauhall mats in it . and that was a honda dealer ,
Just get what you can mate but its worth trying other dealers not just the vauxhall garages .

Pretty much sums it up mate, just bought my signum from them. You think not getting anything off is bad wait till they CHARGE YOU £25 TO PUT NUMBERS PLATES ON IT. I KID YOU NOT!!! Apparently its a standard charge that nobody says anything about, well it nearly cost them a sale with me the cheeky ****ers. NO wya on earth was i paying that just so they could have their details on the bottom of my number plate, you have been warned.

1.8 is the most popular model, go in test drive it and squinny about how sluggish it is, and watch the price fall, the truth is it is a slug, but unless you wanna go racing you won't notice.
