    Hi all looking at getting my 2004 2.2 direct sri remapped?but dont know any thing about the remap,have k&n ind kit, twin ext.does any one know how much?which chip and where about is best im in the northamptonshire area.many thanks kenny

    there are two main choices in getting it mapped...Generic software like the EDS range ( which has loads of UK suppliers) or a live map ( like the one that tourquingBHP) would do for you that is CUSTOM written for your car..

    either one is around £450-£550 and it should raise it up by about 15-20hp..

    best place near you for a generic map is 888 at banbury.. for a custom one is cambridge..

    20bhp is not much gain for the price of the map is tat all they achive not alot compared to a caterman on a cdti, am i right in thinking a 2.2 has 150 standard?

    Remaps never offer much of a gain on N/A cars. Turbo remaps are always beneficial and always give good gains!

    The peak might be only 15-20 bhp but it will smooth out the hole band and make the hole driveability much better. Spikey got his 2.2 mapped to about 167 I think but he said it totally transformed the car, Mark im sure you can vouch for that.

    having bought his car into the family.. yes it did improve it across the range.. to be honest it went much much better.....however the M-I-L's 'new' 2.2 also is a cracking engine.. there's not much between the two..
