    Default handing car back????

can i hand it back (2.5 years into a 5 yr deal in oct) would the goosed clutch void handing it back???(hard put not impossible to get it into 1st or 2nd)

also if i took the full leather interior out and put another full interior in would they know (its an elite)

or does it just goto auction???? its with blackhorse finance?

if you hand back after half the term mate they go through the car with a fine tooth comb, its a different process to a repossession

can you hand it back??.. depends on your T+C in the contract..

would the goosed clutch stop you?... not if it still drives

would they notice if the letaher is missing?..very likely but they may well just auction it off...

be careful thou, as other members i know thought the car was on finance but it turns out it was actually a personal loan secured on the car which then prevented them from handing it back..quite popular 'trick' with the car supermarkets.. again, read the T+C's..

if it was a repossession mate they wouldnt give a sh*t what condition it was in because they would bill you for the difference after it went to auction, with the get out clause which you are going for, they wont be able to claim for anything once they accept it back once they looked over it.

If its HP then you can usually hand the car back when half the term of the contract has past or you have paid a certain amount which is usually half the cash borrowed. If this is so then the following is most likely:

They will send the RAC/AA to inspect the vehicle for damage and to do some basic checks, oil and water. They will start the car up and let it run for a while but most likely they will not drive it. If it all checks out then they will arrange for an auction company (usually 'Premier Auctions') to come and collect it with a car transporter.

Alternatively they may just send the auction company to collect it, they will do an outer, inner inspection for damage and take mileage.

If you start removing stuff or replacing stuff I doubt it would get noticed (but thats just my opinion), if it is noticed then they will bill you for it or refuse to accept the car back.

My advice is, if you are handing it back then wash your hands of it - give it back as you recieved it (wear and tear taken into consideration)...that way its a clean handover.

Personally, I wouldnt mention the clutch though.
