Went to chipped uk today to get my car remapped(2.2 16v). I know a few people wanted to know the results after i had it done so here goes
*Seems to be better fuel eco but i have only had limited miliage since having it remapped
*Better pick up lower down the revs and constant power delivery.Jayson at chippeduk rekons about 13bhp more. The car is SLIGHTLY quicker but the main difference is how the cars power comes into play alot ealier in the rev range and keeps constant untill the redline. The pick up in 1st gear seems to be greatly improved but due to wet road couldnt really get the feel of how much it had improved.
*Car seems to be a smother drive. When giving the car some welly i used to get annoying flat spots after gear changes,These appear to have gone now.
*The car seems to get to 60 or 70 in decent time without revving to hard
All in all for £150 i cant complain and i think its a bargain. For what you get i would say its a cheap little mod for any car owner. I would guess the bigger the engine the more gains you are going to notice. Big gains for diesels as well.As i said though it doesnt seem like the car is loads quicker like your being pulled back into your seat but the power kicks in earlier and lasts longer than before.
If you would like to book your car in jayson is kinda hard to get hold of becuase hes a very busy man at the moment trying to get his rolling road installed and dealing with customers ,so if he doesnt answer your call just drop a email or leave a message
Hope this helps everyone considering getting there car remapped
