Default Old Toys....Are they worth anything?

After me dads funeral on thursday we (the "family") had a look through the house to see what we had to get rid of.

In the loft I found some stuff that I'm sure must have some value but haven't been able to trace any sites that could advise me.

    I found:

1960s edition of monopoly, Just missing the instructions!

1960s/70s Subuteo sets. Numerous in boxes but a bit played with!

Triang Railway Stock from the 60s/70s all boxed

Comadore Vic 20 Boxed and complete

    Cludeo from the 60s boxed

I think we found 10 or so gold soverigns too I believe they're worth aboe £100-£700 each from what I've read.

Where would I go to get these valued?

Since all the items are boxed...
I would suggest you find a large suitcase or storage box and put them all into that

Search eBay for a few months, watch and print any that sell, and take an average over that time

    Once you have done that
Look in your local paper for Toy Fairs, take the items along and get valuations
If their valuations are pretty much what eBay will return, then sell them right there and then, taking into account if you do sell on eBay you will lose about 10% for fees and a further 5% for PayPal fees

I would recommend holding on to the Gold Sovereigns and ONLY sell if you really have no interest
    What year are they?
They will increase in value year-on-year
I had mine valued in 1996 at £85 each by my local bank and they are now insured at £250 each

brocks.... don't take one valuers opinion, our lasses grandpa died last year and when we went through the house he had alot of NAZI memorabilia from when he was in the war....all origional genuine stuff medals, badges and a dagger. prices went from about £200 for the lot to about £850. in the end after putting the time in to find the right site dagger went for £2500 and medals went for £150 each. it pays to do the homework.........hope all went well for the funeral, are you meeting up with the ship ? Andy.
