    Default GSi replacement back boxes

The blurb below was taken from the Jetex page http://www.jetex.co.uk/website/custo...y_UFILOK635MM=
    and http://www.jetex.co.uk/website/images/U227601Rbox.jpg

As I can't really afford a new cat back system at the mo, I was thinking of these Jetex stainless boxes. Any thoughts at £99.00 each??

    they're nice....

the 'graft' involved in fitting them though, will be in getting them to marry up to the Y peice...that's a session with a mandrel tube bender which won't be as cheap..

    Oh deary me..........

Is that because they're a 2.5" that I posted up or is it due to the bend radius?

Sorry Mark, just answered my own question

Had a looksee underneath and I see your point - there is no "straight section at the back on the box as it immediately turns towards the Y section.

Thinking logically, somebody must make these boxes for VX to sell at extortionate prices.

The big player in exhausts used to be Timax who I believe were taken over by Arvin Meritor. I've looked on their web site but it's not much help?

So who makes the exhausts for VX ?

i beleive that they are ARVIN boxes on the VX's...as their pattern cans are a dead ringers ( as in exact copies) of the OEM one's.. you may find thou that they don't supply them to the aftermarket yet .... just OEM..

Or could it be Bosal? http://business.netcom.co.uk/eav/exhaustss.html

Left hand pic bears an uncanny resemblence to the GSi back box with a similar outer finish and effect (not smooth sheet finish). But then again, so do some of the Arvin boxes I've seen on other web sites.

It also seems that Bosal don't do one for the GSi (well there's a surprise). Nothing that would fit from here? http://www.catalogue.bosal.com/pages...odel=Vectra+II

    The plot thickens
