    Default 2.0 DTi what are they like also can this be fixed ?

    I have been offered a 2003 2.0 DTi with satnav and Ta for £3000
    but there is a prob its had a bit of a crash looks easy to fix
    it needs new dash an air bags
    this a pic of the damage

    Doesn't look worth the effort to me. That's more than a light shunt. Looks like it'll cost a lot to fix and I'll doubt you'll get the 3K back if you stripped it and sold it as parts.

    This bit looks particularly worrying.

    What I was wondering is if you buy 1 with a light frontal, could you put on facelift wings, bonnet and bumper etc ?

    In theory yes, but you would have to modify the light looms, which should not be too much trouble. Personally I would not do it on a perfectly good car, but a damaged one would certianly make me do it.

    As per the others, that car is not easy to fix.

    The damage is severe.

    Not viable -£3K is too much IMO, I doubt you'll recover the cost.

    air bags etc will cost a lot to replace

    I was just looking at it for some thing to do next weekend
    the front end parts are easyish to get just pick up a rear ended cat b vectra c an get swapping over say 2k max an that will be back on the road
    i did not want it for my self some one asked me to get it fixed for them

    It does look quite severe, slightly more than a light tap it has to be said...

    Is it Recorded on the Insurance database? What category has it been classified?
