Saw the title of this thread and thought it was some porn flick title!!

Impressive shine in those last two pics. Joined up there recently and aiming to take advantage of lots of hints and tips! One that I already have used after reading is mixing a bit of AG Extra Gloss Protection with AG Super Resin Polish when applying the latter. Goes on much easier and reduces considerably the powderiness when it dries and is polished off!

A little somthing ive learnt though Alex and something that you only realise after youve been into it a while (i hope Bryan agrees with me?). Buying detailing gear is ilike being a kid in a sweet shop, ie, you want everything. Thats where a lot of newcomers go wrong as ive found out to my cost. You dont need everything. what you will end up with is a few favourite products you use all the time and lots of expensive products, used once, sat on the shelf gathering dust.

You can never have enough applicators and cloths though.

The hard bit is trying to find out what your favourite products are, without spendng hundreds (easily possible) on various alternatives of the same product. I know Bryan (Blr) seems to favour Meguiars, which seems like a range he has total confidence in, whereas, i know which wax i like but still searching for my perfect polish.

If you havent already, have a look on ebay for serious performances shop. Alex does 2oz samples of lots of popular products which is by far the cheapest way to find you ideal set up. (i found my perfect trim cleaner this way)

Cheers bud I'll do just that.

The open day will be good though as you can try different products yourself and also watch demos by different people.

thats a really nice shine. I really like that.

I've just joined that forum, I had my car resprayed in Sept 05 so its a good oppertunity to keep the paint clean while its still fresh.

Its shocking how much some of these products cost, but I suppose its all down to personal preference. I'll be looking into those sample thingys, as soon as i find out what I should be LOOKING FOR, lol
