    Default recommend me a vec-c please...

    hi,

    I used to have a vec-c 52 plate sxi, 1.8. and loved it. sold the car as went to OZ backpacking. back now a year later and I miss the Vec.

    looking for a 05 plate or newer, I have got roughly £9,000 just wondered if anyone could recommened a good spec Vec.

    Im intrested in the 1.8 VVT just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this model or if it's worth getting a different model.

    I like the styling on these VVT's but they seem to lose a lot of value..

    any help is appriciated

    What do you want out of a car and how will you use it? - this sort of info will help deciding what model / engine to go for.

    mainly city driving really.

    looking for somethin to get me from a to b but tha looks good and drives well.

    my old vec was nice to drive.

    don't do diesels tho ' fuel of the devil ' haha

    How about this lpg coverted vectra elite bus. With the way fuel price's are going i think it's a steal. 43k miles full history etc. Worth a look http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/_Cars__VAUXHAL...d=p3286.c0.m14
    If this was a 2.8 signum with lpg i would have been down their and bought it for sure.

    that is a cracking car m8 and must of the mods to do inside have already been done

    if you want a car thats decent of fuel, utterly reliable with few known faults and is quite reasonably priced, you'd do well to look at the 2.2 petrol engined cars..

    M-i-l's car does up to 450 miles to a tankfull, gives her an average of 38mpg and yet she's not driving it like miss daisy..with the price of diesel at the mo, it's worth a look into them..

    looking for a hatchback new shape one. in black or silver
    not modded, (I like to put my own on )

    just wondering if any one on here has got the vvt sri? is it worth it as the engine is only 1.8 but it's 140bhp sounds fairly decent to me.

    I like the 2.0 sri cars new shape also but they seem to be rare.

    don't the 2.2 vectras snap the cam belt alot tho? sure i read that on ere somewhere

    Depends on service history
    The old X20XEV when introduced was supposed to be back to 80K mile cambelt intervals, but these too started snapping and the cause was, again, found to be the poly-rollers

    Personally, cambelt change at every second main service, 40K miles
    If it ain't on the service history, don't touch it
