Default Where is the Housing Market!

Hello Guys and Girls, anyone have an idea, where the housing market is at the moment?

In reference to buying and selling, there is mixed reviews, depending on the areas, I look forward to the feedback

    A lot depends on what area/price D

My Son is trying to buy but can't find anything he really likes as there are not that many in his price bracket for sale (Wrexham area)

My Daughter has hers to sell (Oswestry) and has had no viewers in 2 months

It is a fairly good area, good location and it is fairly big...

Hopefully both your son and daughter, will get something soon, thanks Tony

I thought that might be the case Rich, but I expect if you price it right, then it will sell... As they do say, it is a buying market at the moment!

    Thumbs up

IMO the housing market is still moving - just slowly.

I put mine on the market at the begining of the month - at 5% lower than market value. I had a full asking price in 4days from a cash buyer - lucky yes - but like with anything - right location - right price - it will sell.

As long as you are going up in the market - accepting a lower offer will not hurt you - as you should be able to negotiate a better offer on your new house.

People downsizing are likely to take the biggest hit as are first time buyers - as the banks/ lenders have pulled 80% of their products.

Bottom line - the housing market is not exactly busy but it will recover - look at the history of prices - they always recover.....

    HTH - Matt

If you input a post code this site will give you the average price of houses sold in the area.

    http://www.ourproperty.co.uk/

This one has loads of information including analysis by the major players.

    http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/#statistics

Around here the prices are dropping but TBH they had to. The prices for a first time buyer are rediculous.
